the leading in sales and distribution business in Indonesia. We have
pioneered the sales and distribution business years ago and we are
continuing the journey to excellence in the business.
To Be A Market Driven
Sales Organization
Tigaraksa’ sales and distribution business, as the backbone
of our overall business, focuses on creating a market driven sales
organization. How do we do that? We are currently developing an
innovative system which integrating our roles as distributors with
those of our principals, through the following innovations:
Integrated Supply/Demand
Chain
At the moment, we are establishing an on-line and integrated
information system which will facilitate our principals to (i) access
information on sales from modern trade outlets and urban provisions
outlets, stock positions, etc. Using those facilities both the
principals and Tigaraksa as distributors will be able to create a one
number system (12 months rolling forecast) which at the end will create
automatic replenishment system that will significantly increase
efficiency at all process line of both our principals and
Tigaraksa’s business (i.e.: reducing stock level, working
capital efficiency).
Aside from Information Technology Utilization, we are maximizing our
capability of handling and integrating the distribution process of our
principals’ products. In the future, we are planning to
provide our principals with our service for physical handling of
finished goods at principals’ warehouse; which is actually a
logical consequence Tigaraksa being the distributor.
Trade Marketing
Having the common goal to achieve volume and profit, we
understand the need for integrating marketing and promotional
activities performed by marketing troops of our principals with those
which are our responsibilities as distributor.
Our sales teams will jointly cooperate with our principals marketing
teams by conducting marketing researches, sales and information
management and category management. Category management involves
managing products by its category and customizing each
category’s product mix, merchandising, and promotions based
on customers’ preferences on a store by store basis.
By doing so, our principals marketing teams will be able to focus on
their part of marketing activities i.e. product management, packing,
consumer promo, advertising, etc.
How far are we to an integrated relationship with our principals?
In mid 2005, we launched an Executive Information System, a facility
which gives access to some important information and an update of
certain data i.e. service level from Principal/Account and stock
positions. We have also implemented On-Line & Auto Ordering PO
System to selected modern trade accounts such as Alfamart, Indomaret
& Indogrosir. Please see section Our Strive For Excellence for

Our Strong Network
As a major distribution company, we have a nation-wide network covering
155 modern trade accounts or 3.191 stores and 120.000 urban provisions
outlets. Tigaraksa directly handles the sales and distribution to modern trade
stores. To improve our level of service and increase the speed of
delivery to maintain goods availability at all time, in year 2000, our
S&D division has implemented a 24 hours delivery services to
modern trade outlets. The sales and distribution of products to urban provisions outlets are managed in cooperation with 105 sub-distributors and 5 agents operating
within Indonesian territory.
Sub-distributor functions as business partners to channel products to
various outlets mainly the traditional outlets, in line with the
division policies and under supervision of the respective Area Sales
Supervisors. Each sub-distributor manages the distribution of products
within certain agreed area.
To support day-to-day operational activities of our sub-distributors
and also, in order to integrate our information system, Tigaraksa
provides a computer-based operation information system, the Scylla
system, to our sub-distributors which enables us to obtain real time
and accurate information and analysis which will help the Management in
organizing and providing principals with value added information.

Our Principals &
Products
Over the years, Tigaraksa has served major companies in
selling and distributing fast moving consumer products including milk
products (infant formula, growing formula, milk for pregnant and
lactating mothers, adult milk), canned food and beverages, and homecare
products (dish cloths, floor and bathrooms cleaners, etc).
Our major principals are PT Sari Husada Tbk., PT Nutricia Indonesia
Sejahtera, PT Wyeth Indonesia, PT 3M Indonesia.
